ASMS 2005 lunch time technical seminar program

As part of a technology exchange program Shimadzu Biotech will be presenting a series of discussions focussed on new applications for life science and drug development.



Each seminar will have a different theme and so please select the day which meets your specific needs.

All seminars will be held close to the ASMS scientific program on the RIVER LEVEL OF THE H.B. GONZALEZ CONVENTION CENTER, Room 007.

The presentations start at 12:30 (a lunch pack is served from 12:00 onwards).

Day 1 - Monday June 6 2005
Enabling technology for proteomics and MALDI MS

12:30 -12:40 - Using piezo-electric solvent delivery systems to expand life science research
12:40 - 12:50 - Developing automated strategies for proteome analysis. (Keli Ou, Ph.D., Agenica)
12:50 - 13:10 - Applying tryptophan labeling technology for quantitative proteome analysis using MS
13:10 - 13:30 - Enhanced information value using MALDI mass spectrometry

Day 2 - Tuesday June 7 2005
Solutions driven approaches in mass spectrometry

12:30 -12:50 - Applications of the AXIMA MALDI-QIT-TOF in Proteomics Research. (John Leszyk, Ph.D., University of Massachusetts Medical School).
12:50 - 13:30 - Anthrax Vaccine Development using Proteomics and Bacterial Ghosts. (Vito G. DelVecchio, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer, Vital Probes).

Day 3 - Wednesday June 8 2005
New developments in MS tissue imaging

12:30 - 12:50 - Using piezo-electric solvent delivery systems to expand life science research
12:50 - 13:30 - MALDI Profiling/Imaging of Tissues (Shannon Cornett, Vanderbilt University Nashville, Tennessee).
