Traditionally, Axima™ series MALDI targets have been available in a variety of microtitre plate formats, including 96 and 384 well configurations. A new product has recently
been launched, aimed specifically at lower throughput and multi-user sites. These new targets, FlexiMass™, accommodate up to 48 samples and are designed with the dimensions of a microscope
slide.
FlexiMass™ targets provide all the benefits of the larger formats on a smaller scale, exhibiting identical sensitivity and resolution characteristics. They may be used for a wide range of
applications, including proteomics, oligonucleotide analysis, QC and protein analysis.
These targets are used in conjunction with an adaptor, the Adapt/ion™, to enable simple insertion into Axima™ series mass spectrometers. A new plate file for automatic localisation
of the well positions is also available.
