Increases the productivity and precision of automated product isolation
Intelligent fraction collection

Highly flexible instrument configurations for analytical to preparative product isolation

Key benefits and features:-

Precise and accurate product isolation. In mass directed auto-purification the MS signal is used to trigger a fraction collector to isolate a target compound in a reaction mixture.

In advanced system configurations both MS and UV (or alternative detector channels) can be used to trigger the fraction collector using AND/OR logic together with slope and threshold values for all detector channels. It provides the chemist with a powerful set of tools to isolate compounds from mixtures including:
  • AND/OR logic on the fraction collector to trigger on MS AND UV or either MS OR UV signal
  • Slope and threshold parameters for each data stream to ensure precise peak isolation
  • Manual trigger for the fraction collector
  • Multiple detector triggering
  • Flow rates up to 150mL/minute (up to gram scale isolation)
  • Active splitting or passive split options
  • Second fraction collector support (this is configured to collect UV products which are above a set intensity threshold but which do not contain the target m/z value).

Flexible instrument configurations. In this example a second fraction collector is used as a back up device.

AND/OR logic was used to isolate a high proportion of the product 518 m/z. The isolated fraction was re-injected onto an analytical system to assess the purity of the isolated product
