Highly flexible instrument configurations for analytical to preparative product isolation
Key benefits and features:-
Precise and accurate product isolation. In mass directed auto-purification the MS signal is used to trigger a fraction collector to
isolate a target compound in a reaction mixture.
In advanced system configurations both MS and UV (or alternative detector channels) can be used to trigger the fraction collector using AND/OR logic
together with slope and threshold values for all detector channels. It provides the chemist with a powerful set of tools to isolate compounds from
mixtures including:
AND/OR logic on the fraction collector to trigger on MS AND UV or either MS OR UV signal
Slope and threshold parameters for each data stream to ensure precise peak isolation
Manual trigger for the fraction collector
Multiple detector triggering
Flow rates up to 150mL/minute (up to gram scale isolation)
Active splitting or passive split options
Second fraction collector support (this is configured to collect UV products which are above a set intensity threshold but which do not contain the target m/z value).
Flexible instrument configurations. In this example a second fraction collector is used as a back up device.
AND/OR logic was used to isolate a high proportion of the product 518 m/z. The isolated fraction was re-injected onto an analytical system to assess the purity of the isolated product
