The integration of 2D polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2D-PAGE) with biological mass spectrometry is widely regarded as a core technology platform for proteomic analysis. 2D-PAGE gels offer unparalleled resolving power for complex samples limited only in the dynamic range and ability to resolve small and large proteins. Quantitative image based analysis of separated proteins has been a major development in biomedical investigations.
There are 2 options for gel image analysis
PG200 (previously called Phoretix 2D Expression) Features tools for fundamental gel analysis and enhanced spot detection algorithms that are both rapid and accurate. Other functions include gel warping and a statistical tools set for t-tests and ANOVA to highlight and identify protein expression changes.
PG220 (previously called Phoretix 2D Evolution) Additional components to PG200 software to include cross stain analysis (CSA). CSA supports multiplexed gel analysis and differential staining protocols such as fluorescence staining with Sypro.
For Data Mining and data base support a DM version is also available
