Gel image analysis. An integrated light based scanner is used for Coomassie Brilliant Blue stained and Silver stained gels. For fluorescence stained gels an off line detector is used for Sypro and other fluorescence dye technologies.
Gel excision. This is a critical factor in performance of the system. It is a unique design that supports
minimal cross contamination as the cutting head is washed between each excision
cutting spots that are close to one another can be routinely achieved without tearing the gel as the cutting head does not spin
high precision and reliability
Gel digestion. Digestion can be carefully controlled and optimized for specific methods dependent on individual protocols. This can be coupled with sample clean up methods such as zip tips.
Sample spotting for MS analysis. With LC/MS the sample can be simply transferred to the auto-sampler plate. In the case of MALDI the matrix solution can also be automatically added to the sample accelerating sample throughput.
Integrated and enclosed gel processing environment
Specifically designed cutting head for precise excision coupled to an 8 probe sample handling robot. Both sample and solution carry over are minimized by automatic rinsing of the probe head between processing steps.
